Take a trip to a unique city where the architecture of several centuries comes together. The city of hats was made famous by the world-famous TONAK company, whose hats are worn by the British Queen. The Nový Jičín Visitor Centre will take you into the history of hat making, where you can try on over 300 different types of hats. There is also an exhibition dedicated to the important personality of General Laudon, which will take you through all the stages of his life. The visitor centre is located right in the centre of the town, on the most beautiful square of 2015. The square is dominated by town houses with a loubium and the centre of the square is decorated with the Plague Column with a sculpture of dancing peasants in cowboy costumes by France Barwig.
