Lysá hora, sometimes dubbed the the queen of the Beskydy Mountains, is the highest mountain in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy. It stretches over the cadastral areas of Ostravice, Krásná, Staré Hamry, and Malenovice. The massif of Lysá hora is separated from other parts of the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy by the deep valleys of Ostravice, Řečice and Mohelnice, and consists of the dominant peak of Gigula (the old name was revived by Petr Bezruč). The segmentation and patulousness creates a separate mountain group with four main forks and several other lateral ridges and crests. There are four forks that project from the peak of “Gigula”: “Lukšinec”, “Malchor”, “Zimní Polana” and “Velký Kobylík”.

Views: Lysá hora offers an unforgettable view of the ridges and valleys of the Beskydy and Jeseníky all the way to the West and High Tatras.
