Municipality: Řepiště
Opinions of the foundation of the Řepiště church vary in different documents - Jóža Vochala states the year of 1484 in his "History and Geography of Těšínsko", prof. Adamus states the year of 1485 in his "Our Silesia". The Řepiště church was originally a parish church.
Since 1652 it belonged to Protestants (Lutherans) from whom it was taken in 1654 and allocated to the parish of Šenov. It can be read in the records that in 1688 the church was dedicated to St. Nicholas, it was wooden with the ceiling and floor made of planks. From the outer side of the church there was a gallery, a covered porch (similarly as at the church in Sedliště where it has been preserved until these days). In 1785 the church was taken from the Šenov parish and allocated to the new Vratimov parish. A record of 1808 states that the building of the church is all made of wood and is threatening to collapse. According to oral legend the church underwent big changes in its interior and by partial refurbishment between 1867 and 1891. Other modifications were performed in 1931-1932 (tower) and 1950. The last adaptations were made in the interior of the church (new plaster, decoration, benches) in 1995 - 1996.
